Coach Stores in Focus: Flagships, Shops and What You Will Find
Tapestry’s annual report shows that Coach closed its 2026 fiscal year, on 27 June 2026, with 973 directly operated stores. That total splits into 336 stores in North America and 637 outside North America. A second figure that circulates, about 1,299 stores, relates to all of Tapestry’s brands combined, not to Coach alone. Tapestry has reportedly stated it plans around 50 net new Coach stores in fiscal 2027, with roughly three quarters of them outside North America. Across the network sit flagship Coach House locations, regular full-price boutiques, department store concessions and Coach Outlet stores. Consequently, a search for a coach store can surface anything from a multi-floor flagship to a unit in an outlet village. Working city by city, this guide covers the most thoroughly documented locations and marks each place where a store’s current status remains to be checked.
| Location | Store format | Status as of September 2026 | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|

| Tokyo, Ginza | Flagship store | Reported as reopened in December 2025 | First Japanese flagship dates from 2002 |

New York: Coach House on Fifth Avenue
Founded in New coach shirt York in 1941, Coach keeps its most recognisable flagship in its home city. The Coach House at 685 Fifth Avenue was unveiled in the fall of 2016 to coincide with the brand’s 75th anniversary. Created with William Sofield’s Studio Sofield, it was reported to cover about 20,000 square feet across three floors. Coach has reportedly leased about 13,200 square feet at 645 Fifth Avenue for a new Coach House, which means the current address is not a long-term home. Coach has pencilled in 2027 for the intended move, while David Yurman is said to have leased the 685 Fifth Avenue space ahead of an expected opening in early 2029. Whether the current store is still trading on a given day has not been confirmed, so consult Coach’s store locator before a dedicated trip. The locator also lists a Coach store at 20 Hudson Yards, close to Tapestry’s headquarters at 10 Hudson Yards.
London and the Regent Street Coach House
Opened in 2016 as a global concept store, London’s Coach House is found at 200–206 Regent Street. Studio Sofield also worked on the London store, giving it a family resemblance to the New York flagship. Reports from the unveiling described a Craftsmanship Bar offering monogramming and personalisation. Made-to-order Rogue pieces reportedly require around 12 weeks, or about 16 weeks for exotic skins, with a Made to Order bar for the Rogue bag reported as well. One retail-district listing shows a much later page date, which has led some writers to give the wrong opening year. Tapestry said on its August 2026 earnings call, according to a published transcript, that the UK, plus some wholesale business, is the only part of Europe where Coach has a material presence. Anyone planning a personalisation appointment should confirm which services are on offer at present before visiting.
Tokyo: The Ginza Flagship
Tokyo’s Ginza district holds Coach’s flagship in Japan. The store, renewed in 2015, traces its origins to the first Japanese flagship, which opened there in 2002. Based on reports of the relaunch, the store reopened on 19 December 2025 following a redesign by the studio CURIOSITY. When it comes to services, Japan is also significant: select Japanese stores reportedly join the Coach (Re)Loved trade-in exchange. Lightly used all-leather retail bags are reportedly accepted through the scheme, but outlet items and canvas pieces are not accepted. Since it was not confirmed which Japanese stores are involved, contact the store before bringing a bag along. Opening hours and services are worth checking shortly before a visit, as with every flagship in this guide.
Greater China: Hong Kong, Chongqing and an Outdated Shanghai Record
Set against New York or London, Coach’s large stores in Greater China are more patchily documented. A now-dated record notes that a flagship of about 7,000 square feet opened its doors on Huai Hai Middle Road in Shanghai in April 2010. Its current status could not be confirmed, so do not assume the Shanghai store is still trading today. Coach has also been reported to have a global flagship in Hong Kong and a two-storey glass flagship in Chongqing. The launch dates for those two stores also remain unverified. Out of Coach’s 973 directly operated stores, 637 are international, but the annual report does not break that figure down city by city. Before travelling, trust Coach’s local store locator over older press coverage.
UK Boutiques and Concessions
Coach’s UK store locator additionally points to full-price stores outside Regent Street, namely at Westfield London in White City and Westfield Stratford City. St Pancras and the Promenade Level at Canary Wharf provide further London locations. Beyond London, the documented full-price store is at the Bullring in Birmingham. Coach also trades through concessions inside Harrods in Knightsbridge and Selfridges on Oxford Street, where a Coach Playground space has been promoted. Stores in Manchester, Edinburgh and other cities could not be confirmed, so check before taking it for granted that a local branch exists. For anyone searching coach uk locations, this list sets out the documented full-price options at the time of writing. Coach’s UK site provides each listed store its own page, which makes it the most reliable place to confirm hours and services.
Shopping at Coach Outlet Stores
Coach’s store locator labels Coach Outlet stores as outlets, and they belong to Coach’s own network rather than being run by independent discounters. They usually sit in outlet centres, and Coach has reportedly opened Coach Coffee Shop concepts at Jersey Gardens and Woodbury Common in the United States. Bicester Village, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and Ashford Designer Outlet all host confirmed Coach Outlet stores in the UK. Double-check before travelling to York Designer Outlet, since a store there is reported but unconfirmed. Outlet stock is partly made specifically for the outlet channel, and the only share figure found, around 85%, dates from 2014, so today’s mix remains unknown. As well as earlier-season styles, outlet ranges can also include some full-price collection product under the reported “One Coach” strategy. Anyone planning a coach outlet trip should check current offers first, because promotions change and coupon-site sale calendars could not be verified.
What to Expect Inside a Coach Store
A full-price coach store puts the focus on the current handbag range, while also stocking small leather goods, clothing and shoes. Familiar bag families in 2026 include the Tabby, introduced in 2019, the Brooklyn, launched in August 2024, and the Empire Carryall, released in February 2025. Treat these as market observations rather than an official price list: observed US prices put a Tabby 26 at $475 and an Empire Carryall 34 at $450. Selected stores also join the (Re)Loved trade-in, which runs in North America retail stores plus select UK and Japan stores. Coach Insider, the free-to-join loyalty programme, reportedly covers both Coach and Coach Outlet, so one membership extends to both formats. Coach says it does not authenticate merchandise, which makes a receipt from a Coach store valuable proof of where a coach bag came from. Leading the creative side is Stuart Vevers, who still holds the Creative Director role in 2026; his appointment was announced in June 2013.
Planning a Visit
A little preparation prevents wasted journeys, especially while the New York flagship prepares to move. Coach’s store locator for the country you are visiting is the best starting point, since it separates full-price stores from Coach Outlet locations. If you plan a trade-in, make sure that the specific store participates and that your bag is all leather rather than canvas. For personalisation or made-to-order services, check ahead of time whether the service is currently offered. Visitors to Britain should be aware that tax-free shopping for tourists in Great Britain ended on 1 January 2021, so there is no VAT refund to plan around. Every receipt documents where a bag was bought if questions come up later, so keep them all. Review current promotions before a long journey to an outlet centre, because offers change frequently.
- Consult the store locator on the day you travel.
- Confirm that the store participates in trade-ins and that your bag is eligible.
- Arrange things in advance for personalisation services.
- Each purchase needs a receipt you hold on to.
